AOL Q1 Earnings
November 06, 1997

(FOOL GLOBAL WIRE)
By Randy Befumo (TMF Templar)

ALEXANDRIA, VA (Nov. 6, 1997)
/FOOLWIRE/ -- AMERICA ONLINE (NYSE:
AOL) (N) (S) surpassed consensus
expectations when it reported fiscal first
quarter earnings after the bell, posting a
$0.16 EPS gain versus expectations of only
$0.12 EPS
.......
It is this increase in margins that translated into
16 cents per share of earnings.

No mention of the $0.04 extraordinary gain from sale of XCIT stock.
Read the whole thing. In stark contrast to the huge decline after hours.
