PA House passes illegal immigrant worker limits
The Pennsylvania House of Representatives today has approved a pair of bills (H-1502 and -1503) that require construction companies to use the federal E-verify program to ensure workers have valid Social Security numbers and are in this country legally.

Lead sponsor Rep. John Galloway, D-Bucks, told me he wished the bills applied to all Pennsylvania companies, but construction firms are a good start. "I have no idea, and I don't care" how much the bills cost businesses, he added. It's more important to "punish" contractors who hire workers that are in this country "illegally."

American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania lobbyist Andy Hoover called the bill "an invasion of privacy" that may be found unconstitutional.

(that's the problem, that's what my liberal county says you can't ask question, don't want to discriminate, so how can Businesses be punished ?)
