Good question. They started that way. And I am still clueless on why a guy like Dick Armey started the group. He had access to the Republican leadership and if he wanted to see change he could have approached them. Did he have some other intentions since the occupant of the White House around the time he founded the movement, was someone that many of his followers are not used to seeing.
