Barry, OFF TOPIC

Had to comment, the TGV is really a great way to travel, in my opinion MUCH better than taking an airplane with all that that entails. Took the same trip Paris to Lyon several years ago, then on to Nice, just stopped overnite in Lyon for a dinner at a special restraurant.

They have discussed high-speed rail service here in Florida, I think the problem is the initial expense and the uncertainty over future profits, the pit falls of capitalism, the advantages of European socialism where profit are not an issue.

Barry,

I am really suprised at what is taking place in the Market todady!!

1. Greenspan tells us that the inflation is even lower than the Feds.
have made public!!

2. Job data is brilliant.

YET the market is going down! Why? Do you have any idea?

off topic:

Yes, in Italy we have the same TGV trains. They are almost as fast as
French TCV, almost. 200 kilometers per hour prime speed and now they
can go even faster
Italian TGV are cleaner and better serviced than the French ones, but the best trains on the continnent are Swiss and Germans.

If you have no trains to speak of in the US, that maybe becasue the major car and plane manufactureres, and airlines have killed the rail-road in the US. Very soon American will be seeing trains only in the museums!
