Re : "Meanwhile, the eat-all-you-like mobile data plans are being ditched in favour of the sensible way of charging for data which is according to the amount of data used."

Maurice -- you are "delighting" in an evolutionary process that has been both :

incredibly slow (how long ago did wireless carriers commence flat rate data plans ?)

and

not even "for sure" that it will "stick"

Jon.

It was ridiculous that Steve Jobs was unable to demonstrate his new system because the wifi was too busy. How come he didn't have his own backhaul and his own wifi connection? Having a great device which can't connect due to overload is hopeless [supposedly AT&T is too busy too often with all you can eat customers eating lots].

Little by little Maurice.. You are starting to figure it out.

The answer is of course, to own/control your own spectrum. Basing you entire company's future on access to SES (Somebody Else's Spectrum) and Network improvements is a glaring error. Were just getting started on this whole Wireless Data revolution thing. Billions of more devices coming down the pike requiring lots and lots of cheap data. The traffic jam is just starting. You better have your own roadways. It was a public display of Netelipsy in action.. So to speak...
