One thing at a time, pls! (You are always trying to get ahead of yourself in arguments it seems! <GGG>) NO WAY to definitively answer any such question until the predicate points are agreed to. For example: 1) Which years are we hanging the argument on? 2) What is the agreed definition for "Middle Class" 3) EXACTLY what is (and what is not!) INCLUDED as a component part of making up your composite of "total tax load"? (For example, some would certainly argue that TRANSFER PAYMENT PROGRAMS --- such as FICA/Medicare, etc., --- since they return money to the individual are not the same thing as regular 'taxes' are... but are more akin to enforced savings plans or insurance or some such.) I can't endlessly waste time on arguments that are still so vague that there is no clear-cut way to arrive at 'right or wrong'. Predicate points must be acceptably CLEAR first pls.
