FWIW I think it is impossible to know how the BP thing will work out. After placing your bet you may be better off not thinking about it for a while--6 months maybe!

You are right I had that thinking going in that I would not pay attention for a year but I still got shaken out. I think there is a very low probability of them going under, but I panicked. I new it was going to be a tough ride when I first purchased and I prepared for it with only putting in what I would not miss, but I still got shaken out of my position. Anyways, being able to buy other cheap companies in the energy sector that are down significantly makes the pain of the quick loss not as painful. I should of sold my position today was pretty sure there would be a rally and it is up 12% now oh well you win some and you lose some.
