S&P High of the day is at two critical resistance levels on the daily chart, the up trend over the last 4 days, and the down trend from the end of April, with the line connecting the highs of 5/13 and 6/03 and today.

I have learned that patience is a virtue. Agreed there may be some cool hands still jockeying for position. An appropriate dip buy or two will still make sense.<smile> But I'd like to get a launch going. This news about the whale is very disturbing to me. I have fished the gulf of Mexico for over 30 years. Upon occasion I have seen humpbacks deep in the gulf. My bet is that poor beast beached on long island has abelly full of Gulf of Mexico oil. If that animal; can not be saved I"M DEMANDING AN AUTOPSY!!! 50 days is more than long enough for a sick whale to get out of pollution and swim to cooler less polluted waters. Poor beast didn't make it! If this is confirmed, then the fisherman of the gulf have proof that the carnage not yet documented with the fish population, as it has tragically been proven in the estuaries already, is an issue. When you pollute the gulf such that fish sense it and leave - you have a liability. I'm all for drilling in the deep water,but when you screw up and your main intention is recovery and not a quick shut down - YOU BUY THE DAMAGE !!!!! I'm not sure of the cause but I have a strong suspicion that in my mind must be persued. Don't know how to create the awareness - but it must be done!! Bob
