Republican John Boehner has suggested a taxpayer bail-out program for BP, similar to George W. Bush's taxpayer bail-out program for major banks.

Ummm, no matter how many times you repeat something that is false, will not make it true.

Alas, if you simply get your news from DailyKos and other left wing propoganda sites, you will continue to be misinformed.

Boehner's comment was simply "I think the people responsible in the oil spill--BP and the federal government--should take full responsibility for what's happening there"

it had nothing to do with who pays but rather the lack of federal oversight and the horrible job by the Obama administration in dealing with this. In fact, Boehner is on record as saying "The White House must ensure that BP bears the entire financial burden to clean up this disaster. Not a dime of taxpayer money should be used to clean up their mess."
