Yes, indeed. 6 million plus found that out during the Holocaust. But in the day to day world in which we are supposed to live, people try to provide for/protect their children, their elderly. A dear friend just moved into a basement apartment with his elderly mother. He minus a job, minus savings, trying to keep her alive. It's all a matter of perspective. I will remind him to read Ecclesiastes, so as to feel better. I never thought that this was going to become a philosophical thread. Apologies to GZ for the diversion.
