My Maverick wasn't tricked out like those are. All I did was put some 60s series tires on it. lol.

That parachute malfunction Glidden had caused a horrific crash. He was lucky to come out of that one alive. Did you ever have any mishaps when you were racing?

A friend of mine sponsored an Indy car in 1997 driven by IRL rookie Sam Schmidt and we went up to Indy for the race where I met Sam. Three years later he was testing an Indy car at Orlando where he had a terrible crash and was left a quadriplegic. Never one to quit, Sam now owns his own racing teams in the Indy Lights Series. He does it all from a wheel chair.
