The tea party is for raising taxes?

Remember, there are automatic tax increases next year as Bushs cuts expire.

Some say those alone will send the economy further down, big time. Especially the stock market.

Cutting the deficit by cutting spending might have some effect on those on the government take. But it has to happen if this ship ever is to be righted.

I agree that raising taxes could be bad for the economy, especially if spending isn't decreased. But for the life of me I don't understand how cutting the deficit would be bad for the recovery.

BTW The Tea Party is for cutting taxes not raising them.
