My kids had an English teacher who would bitch about Bush every day. They thought he was deranged. -g-

That teacher is definitely part of the Obama "Me 24/7" generation. She was utterly clueless about the effect of her actions and her lack of respect for POVs other than her own.

As usual, the comments to the article are quite interesting.

I cannot fathom the depths of idiocy this woman must plumb. Her next blog series should be entitled, "An Idiot's Guide to Everything!" Every opportunity to quell the issue she squandered. In fact, she exacerbated the turmoil with each interaction. What a complete and unmitigated imbecile.

Teach, did you give her a "D" because you didn't agree with her politics? {Happened to Justin at Villanova back in the day}. At your next stop, moderate the debate team. You'll learn to respect other points of view.

Wow. Another ultra-liberal teacher. Go figure. I think the best part was her final quote "'I feel so vulnerable,' she (Collins)said. 'If something this weird can happen, I'm not sure that I want to do it again.'"The quote underscores her belief that she, and not the student she attacked, is the victim. I am glad that the parents and the school had the courage to stand up to this classroom bully.

Waaahhhh....I can't mock my students anonymously on my personal blog....waaaaahhhhh.
