It all comes from the ability of photogenic plants to take carbon dioxide and water from the atmosphere and convert it into biomass using the energy from the sun. Carbon from carbon dioxide was converted into longer chain carbon molecules. Carbon dioxide on the other hand comes from a lot of different sources except Al Gore's back yard (grin).

Cheekster, re: Abiotic Oil...

A highly debatable, but interesting subject.

I have a lot of questions about Peak Oil and the agenda
behind it, and there are certainly unanswered questions
about abiotic oil theory.

The sad thing is, our governments and large multi-national
corporations have both become so corrupt, it's hard to trust
anything they tell us any longer.

Not everything is a conspiracy theory, sometimes Occam's Razor
rules, other times all you have to do is follow the money.

Any way...
