Let's kick them all out and start from scratch on a centrist platform and only vote in the folks who have honor and the willingness to do what's right, not what's easy.

This is the core of the argument for term limits.

It is the only way short of an armed insurrection, and we need for the idea to gain critical mass.

It is the only actionable plan, and the mechanism was provided by the last intelligent group of leaders the country had.

<<...I'm beginning to think that Obama is too chicken to turn massive threats like the BP oil spill into massive opportunities...>>

The BP Gulf oil spill is our nation's environmental 9/11...and a crises is a terrible thing to waste.

>>Honestly, the single biggest reason I voted for Obama is that he gave speech after speech about how our oil dependence was at the nexus of threats to our economy, threats to our national security, and threats to our environment. As such, it was a no brainer for us to push for massive change to get us to oil independence.<<

Sorry, he didn't mean it. Just like with getting us out of Iraq or getting real financial reform. He drank your milkshake.

>>> the single biggest reason I voted for Obama is that he gave speech after speech about how our oil dependence was at the nexus of threats to our economy,<<<

Ummmm. Like......Dude....ummmm...like "W" gave speech after speech puting forth the same argument. So what's not to like....

Same fuzzy wish list energy policy,

Same wars,

Same banks in control of the government,

Same ethanol,

Same cellulosic ethanol...ooooops. What happened to that one?

Same earmarks,

Same estate tax policy...no wait..taht is about to expire

Well there it is. Not much difference as far as I can tell.

Obama sure does look and sound pretty in front of a teleprompter. "W" could never get that part down. "W" said Wall Street got drunk on greed. Obama said he is going to go kick some ass, and that BP had 48 hours to do something, or ...... he would give them a spanking and send them to bed w/o dinner.

Its all good.
