Simmons interview with Dylan Ratigan on "Day 49"

(Day 51 was Thursday June 10th, so this was last Tuesday, just four days ago. Why can't these idiots on YouTube put a little date indicator somewhere on their broadcast!?!?)

Simmons makes it a little more clear about what he means by the open hole, riser on the sea floor, etc. I am far from an understanding with which I be be satisfied.

I think it foolish not to watch this matter very urgently. This may be bigger than the Greek implosion - which I think has barely started.

How much oil do you think was spewing in the beginning and now?

I think it;s reasonable to conclude from what I have read and seen(even if i only believe half of what i've seen -g-) that BP has lied consistently and underestimated the amount of leakage).

Thanks

What is amazing about Simmons is that he offers absolutely no proof about any of his crazy theories. What is this about oil leaking "about seven miles away"? Not six miles or eight miles but seven miles? Doesn't that require some kind of evidence? As you said, the BOP is in place and the only visible leak is at the BOP.

He is grandiosely introduced as "one of the foremost experts on oil on this planet". I doubt real oil experts agree with that assessment. Let's remember this is the same guy who, in the summer of 08 with $147 oil, was on TV every ten minutes jabbering about $250 dead ahead. When we instead got $32 oil, he dismisses it as mere paper speculation without also acknowledging that $147 oil was paper speculation. His "twilight in the desert" scenario also doesn't seem to be working out very well.

The physical (and mental?) deterioration in Simmons in the last couple of years is rather startling. It's time for Matt to go sit on the porch.
