When I see an article with numbers like 100,000 bpd I simply give such no credence. Frankly, I am not sure who I would believe would be most likely to give an objective and unbiased assessment of this.

From your answer I assume you include leak rate estimates as an example of a lie. Would the lies also include estimates by the government that turn out to be lower than whatever the actual number turns out to be?
