In the brilliant E.O.Wilson's first work of fiction, written this year at age 82, he sees the human race heading for collapse and chaos based on his study of ants that have a DNA gene that leads them ALWAYS to destruction: the genetic flaw? Obsession with GROWTH. i posted this earlier--it got NO rise from readers BUT i think this is a BRILLIANT observation by E.O. Wilson regards the Human Race and their being like the genetically DERANGED Super Colony Ants--likely the most significant post i have ever made when i put this out:) (yes!:) i say to you Patron, Wilson's conjecture is CORRECT--that is why THERE IS NO SOLUTION---man is just the same as the genetically deranged Super Colony Ants, period--- my one constant on this thread is "There is NO solution" the human race is INHERENTLY doomed by it's dominant nature to consume and grow grow grow----Wilson establishes , via Super Colony Ants, this ALWAYS ends in COLLAPSE and Destruction---we are NO different--i look at humanity's RAT RACE--and just think, how PATHETIC. i add here Marley doing RATRACE The HUMANRACE youtube.com (this here written on 4/21/2010)I bring in another matter here which i did not know of until this weekend, that being via reading a book review of the Brilliant and controversial E.O.Wilson's FIRST work of fiction(but let's say it is semi-fiction), and he has done this at the age of 82---the book review boils it down to its essential projection regards the human race. And what is that?? It's an "O My!!" Here it is in its simplest terms, E.O.WILSON the foremost authority regards the world on Ants, he has NO competitor, has made a what i feel is a hugely significant observation. There are Ants in the Ant world, that due to a defective gene, become not mere COLONY ants but Super COLONY ants. A good thing? No! A disaster. These Ants are obsessed with "we must grow, we must expand" and they do so until all becomes unworkable; a size that brings the COMPLETE collapse of their civilation. He brings this observation to HumanKind itself, and sees thaqt Humankind likely is also so fatally flawed, just as the Super COLONY ants be, and that we, obsessed with growth growth growth, expand expand expand are moving to the fate of those ants that are genetically defective. i submit we are NOW seeing this building to the collapse point--it could well occur in the 21st century. i think any sensitive can see/feel or just plain intuit the the validity/strength of E.O. Wilson's analogy/argument ---we are a creature out of control, and we are moving exponentially i feel to what i call "The Critical Mass" point. And if this is indeed the overall genetic nature of Humankind, now, i then see NO solution.Max
