"The total disregard for our borders reflects an interesting attitude on the part of Mexicans and Central Americans." It's an understandable attitude. The Mexican government is a corrupt plutocracy that allows for no wage growth or social mobility. An illegal HERE has a better shot at social mobility than being a Mexican citizen THERE. If your choice was being a peon until you die or sneaking into a Canadian future, what would you do? I suppose you're right but given the attitude, it behooves this country even more to do a full court press to stop as many of them from entering the country as possible.
