BP attorneys will look to the Exxon Valdez spill for guidance. In that spill Exxon was able to reduce its liabilities significantly by keeping the case in court for nearly 20 years. The second reason he's on BP's tail is because this fukked up country has put a ridiculously low limit on an oil company's liability in case of a spill........most likely thanks to incompetent and corrupted Rs. Because of that ridiculous limit, the American taxpayer is liable for a huge tab unless Obama can corner BP on this issue.

Now this is what I find so disingenuous about your attitude.......every chance you get you complain about the deficits and how Obama's policies are adding to those deficits. Here is an instance where Obama is trying to prevent an addition and you criticize him for it. Arguing with you like arguing with a child.....and its getting real old once again.

You're an idiot. What Obama is doing has NOTHING, WHATSOEVER to do with BP paying or not paying. NOTHING.

What Obama is doing has EVERYTHING to do with POLITICS.

If he doubts BP will stand behind its commitment, that's fine. But he needs to ACT, NOT TALK.

The reality is he was asleep at the switch and this is the way he has chosen to try and look as though he is involved.

I'm the tough-shit president. I've got my boot on BP's throat. BP can't pay dividends to its shareholders. 'Cause I said so. I have to know whose ass to kick. I'm in charge. I'm a tough motherf*cker.

The reality is he is a FOS, feckless politician who has stood idly by as this sorry spectacle unfolded.
