I saw Tom Principato on a double bill with Bill Kirchen at the Birchmere a couple years ago, but he played very little blues. The DC guitar tradition goes back quite a long way, and several of the best of them lived in the same general SE neighborhood - including Danny Gatton and Roy Buchanan.
