"He should have left "stopping the spill" to the experts -- engineers and BP and other oil companies. "

That's exactly what he did do.....the government hasn't the expertise of the oil companies

"and he should have thrown all available resources at protecting the beaches in Gulf states and he should have cut through the red tape that prevented Jindal from protecting his own state's coastline. He should have worked WITH BP rather than AGAINST BP."

If Jindal want'd to build those berms why didn't he do it..no one stopped him except the locals...couldn't he get volunteers or did they all want to be paid first.....are you aware of the controversy over building the berms? How long will they last just from ordinary wave action let alone a hurricane.??? BP has been stonewalling the country from day 1, ie we don't know how much oil is being released....bull shit. We don't know how to measure it....bull shit. We haven't got fire booms in place....we don't have any but we're working on it..... And finally, it is not the "man's " responsibility. How come you anti-government types are begging the government for help now??

Drill baby drill....there may be a few million barrels in Yosemite...
