we did good wine, sampling of olives, froi gras filled ravioli, white asparagus, kobe beef steak served tapas style, garlic fried mushrooms, spanish seafood fried rice, portugese sardines, and sea bass cooked (baked) in salt

but all very humble

and we were entertained by my music/band friends from the philippines

all very civilized

needless to say, my family skipped dinner that night ;0)
