Hi all,

I can see one major advantage to a GOP sweep of Congress in Nov'10. What if the GOP decides to crack down on these deficits? Remember Gingrich? He used to be my favorite fiscal conservative. So maybe the GOP will actually do something about our fiscal profligacy.

what are you talking about? clowngress get's a cost of living raise and boomers get squat- due to gdp fudging and inflation# massaging- i'm a boomer born in 56' and i dont get squat and am very doubtful i ever will- so be careful what you say and best to clarify which boomers you are referring to because alot of us are not getting anything yet nor will we at the present rate of change-

Boomers were screwed by Greenspan. They were twice imposed upon with higher FICA taxes that Greenspan said was necessary to rescue Social Security and to to build up a surplus for their retirement. It was used up to stimulate the economy to create jobs, most of which go to the succeeding generations.
