I thought 50K, maybe 100k.

If they can burn 50, then their fine at 4300/bbl leaked clocks in at 215 million/day, or around 12 billion since the blowout. And counting of course......and that's just the fine, not the economic damages or punitive. I think 20 billion would be far too low to settle with the bastards, for now I'd make 'em pay the fine and use it to fund the cleanup and modest stopgap payments to the most economically aggrieved due to the spill (i.e, fishermen and charter boat operators). I'd also collect the fine daily until the well is capped going forward.

For the rest, better call Saul.

" How big is that leak again? "

It started out as 5000. Our gov. went along with it,

for weeks / months.

AWESOME.
