Lots of things are done in the lab. They have been for many years. Lab systems are a far cry from cost effective high-throughput production systems.

How long do you think it will take to develop the infrastructure to support .08 micron technology?

Apple 12: Good research! It seems however that Cymi may be safe in the near term, in that the production ramp up taking place now needs DUV lasers, and the e-beam procedure described in the article looks like it's several years away from production-ready. However in the middle to longer term, this is a competition source that definitely needs to be kept watch on. Thoughts from the technical experts on the thread would be most welcome.....
