I hear you. I saw the 69 spill first hand. Talk of "cleaning up" the Gulf is complete BS. Sure, you can scrape up sand and throw down a beach towel down a few weeks later, but that's AFTER all the oil has found a home on a beach somewhere. That will take years.

The marshes are just gone.

There is still oil glued to rocks in santa barbara from the 69 spill.
