bothers me no matter who does it. With humans peace always seems so far away as if they never learn anything. Then quit your griping about the US and focus on the cultures where violence is the means of dominating and subjugating others, instead of liberating them. When the US has to use violence, it means WE'VE FAILED in our policies to nip the problem in the bud before it got out of control. It's nice that you're able to shroud yourself in your Utopian fog, but THAT'S NOT HOW THE WORLD WORKS!! Worry more about cultures where the people believe it's perfectly fine to conquer, subjugate, and/or kill, those who don't hold the same religious views. Worry about those cultures where men can legally kill their wives and daughters for "dishonoring" the family. And there's no we shouldn't reduce the level of violence and sex in Hollywood. Certainly we don't need to have movies where the central plot is how many people can be shot, maimed, beheaded, or beaten within a 90 minute period of time. As for video games, I'm with you on that as well.. Reduce the violence and make it like buying cigarettes.. you have to be 18. Personally, I would like to see more educational games that train children to think, but also entertain. But your foucs on the US is ridiculous.. There is insidious EVIL that exists on this planet, but I would put the US towards to mid to lower end of any scale. Just travel to some of these places and see how they treat one another. And recognize that the quickest way to bring cooperation to humanity is to neutralize, and if necessary eliminate, those who would use violence to oppress and dominate. And assist those who seek freedom and accountable government. It is our business to do that, just as you think it's your business to eradicate violence and porn from Hollywood and the global society. Accountable governments normally don't go to war without the consent of the people. THAT will DRAMATICALLY reduce the odds of war breaking out. Hawk
