Olbermann: "Nothing specific at all was said."

Could've used a map of the Gulf of Mexico to show the current state of the spill and where they expected it to go and what obstacles could be expected to be deployed. With the decision to use Corexit, one now needs a 3D map since much of the spill lurks on the sea floor. Absolutely no information about that.

I get the impression that O is not a hands-on details guy. His staying away from the situation that threatened to grow larger over time shows a lack of curiosity on his part.

Big fan of Chris Matthews, eh?

The Daily Show and myself are both disappointed with Obama too. He's not holding up his end of the tale, heroic, rookie young, black president faces historic, enormous challenges and prevails.

I'm getting the feeling with Obama that it's all been easy, effortless really, for a guy as smart as he is up to now. But now, he president. It's not easy, he's being tested, and it's not clear how he'll do. Or even if he'll hold up.

The Daily Show this evening was harsher than Matthews.

LOL. MSM has turned against Obama. What's that Latin saying? He who the gods would bring low, first they must raise up. I credit the GOP propaganda machine for bringing Obama low. It's a formidable enterprise.

It'll be interesting to watch the final nail in the coffin of our economy get struck home when the GOP sweeps into power in November. Then the journey to complete fascism will have been achieved by the GOP corporatists. The folks on this thread who own gold and are short the market will be well rewarded.

When that happens, I'll be telling you, joseffy, to stop blaming Obama for the deficit, because the GOP will own it after November. Remember Congress holds the purse strings. So are you ready to assume ownership of this massive deficit? I won't accept any excuses for massive deficits from the GOP after they take over. So get prepared.
