Another factor put SLW above most of the silver miners is that SLW is a growth "pure silver' play. Many other so called silver stocks are actually selling silver as a by-product from copper, or lead or zinc mining. When industrial demand of basemetals falling the mines won't increase silver production by producing more basementals. Therefore, these stocks may not have benefits from higher silver prices "if" and "when" it is recognized as a currency.

OTOH, if the basemetal mines shut down due to low prices SLW may not get their silver as planned. We'll have to see the details of the contracts with each silver source.
