Those numbers are too big for most people's brains ... why I did that little exercise. I agree things are probably far worse than we know, though ... they're suppressing information as best they can, restricting photographers, etc. Still, I'm a little bemused with all the opinion polls on how Obama is handling the crisis ... people seem to think he's supposed to be diving into the gulf to plug it himself it seems. There's no doubt plenty of people who share the blame, but I can't help thinking back to Cheney's secret task force on energy ...
