In a few days, from 19-22 June, people from across the United States and beyond will be gathering at the 2010 U.S. Assembly of Jews: Confronting Racism and Israeli Apartheid (www.jewsconfrontapartheid.org ). To follow the Assembly via the internet, visit jewsconfrontapartheid.blogspot.com starting this Friday, 19 June. This event is intended to build relationships, political clarity and Jewish anti- Zionist organizing and activism. It takes place at a time when recognition of the brutal nature of the State of Israel is growing, and increasing numbers of people are compelled to challenge its impunity. The Assembly has close to fifty endorsers and anticipates two hundred participants. We will be attending five plenary discussions and choosing from over 30 workshops. To see the workshop and plenary discussions, go to docs.google.com . There are few foundations or donors who will support this event. Those of us committed to confronting Zionism are doing this together. We have been fundraising for this event for months, and we are almost at our goal: we need to raise $1,700 more. Please make a generous tax-deductible contribution at ijsn.net if you can. All contributions will go to materials for participants, audio–visual technology for speakers, and documenting the Assembly for those who cannot attend. Please help make this historic event happen and support the building of anti-Zionist Jewish organizing and activism in the United States by making a donation. If you cannot join us in person, we hope you visit jewsconfrontapartheid.blogspot.com for updates and content from the Assembly. There will be video and written blogging and your comments are welcome. We look forward to your participation from afar, and thank you for your support, See you there.
