Hitler exterminated the atheists and freethinkers. The Nazis started a new type of Christianity (Positive Christianity) which most Christians were happy to conform to (being mindless sycophants to begin with and being exhorted by the writings of the most heroic German EVER--the most VULGAR anti-Semite of all time, Matin Luther). When you understand that there are almost 40,000 Christian Sects (only one which is going to "heaven"), you understand that the (notorious) Nazis were all religious Christians...except for one and he wasn't Hitler! He beheaded the Chairman of the 500,00 strong Freethinkers Association and rounded up and "processed" all the atheists...
