historically... spain has had this mental block that simply stops them from winning the key games...

i was convinced this time around was going to be different....

Spain has always had top notch individual players but could never field a team that was cohesive, working for the team instead of a individual star and thusly always underperformed. The change however was very evident in the last Euro Cup where this was no longer true. Mentally today they came with the "underperform" instinct present in their mind and became frustrated as the game went on not being able to score having had so much control of the game. They must now come out thinking very positive for the next game. It wouldn't be the first time a favourite lost the first game only to get stronger and stronger as they progressed. It's all about the mind from here on for them.
