Besides, the IDEA of breeder reactors, just like the idea of fusion, is worth pursuing. Especially if it's hard.

I am all for developing nuke power. I am just leery of being dependent on one source of energy like we are now. Here in the PNW we are learning to meld windpower into the grid system. It still has some kinks but they are getting better at it. At the same time, there is talk of building more nuclear reactors. To me, its all good. Whatever it takes to get us to energy independence.
