The companies you have listed do flipchip assembly for flex circuitry that 3M supplies. Right?? Some application such as a printers or camcorders uses them but do you have any flipchip used on a standard FR4 board or used inside an existing package. No.

Those flex circuitry uses polyimide backing and they are extremely expensive and many companies will avoid them due to cost constraint. With a standard leadframe, the packaging cost is approximately .6 cents/pin. With flex circuitry, that will go up to 2 cents/pin or more.

Again, flip chip will be for niche. Not standard.
By the way, Casio used TAB for all their watches and calculators for years but it is still very far away from being a standard interconnection method.
