That's the only way to trade successfully. The only guys with a clue are the banks, since they seem to be running the show. Here's my favorite quote of the week, courtesy of Bill Dirlam: "I'd liken investing since March 2009 to a sailing vessel in choppy seas. Not only has the ship off-loaded all it's cargo in the market declines of 2000-03 and 2008-09, but most of the passengers have disembarked as well, taking their belongings with them. As a result, a skeleton crew of hedge funds is all that is left on a ship that now rides very high in the water. The ballast, the weight, the heft, that once provided stability-- all those buy-and-hold investors and all their wealth-- are gone. The pirates have taken over the helm-- but they are a factious lot and can't agree on a port of call. Moreover, the daily rum ration-- leverage, as we say in investment finance-- flows unimpeded. "Where else to stash one's treasure, but doubloons?"
