These are the FACTS: The bible is full of innumerable contradictions. The bible is full of innumerable absurdities. The bible is full of innumerable acts of evil--perpetrated, commanded, or vouchsafed by an alleged "god"--incest, rape, genocide, infanticide, public lewdness and countless acts of vulgarity and horrific sub-human activity. The bible has every appearance (judged by facts) as being the work of scores of primitive pre-scientific tribal people who basically thought, spoke, wrote, and acted like primitive savages. For you to base your knowledge and belief on this means simply that you value superstition other than rationality. There are no rational grounds to believe that Yahweh reworked the nature of light to make rainbows after regretting his terrible mistakes! There is no rational reason to believe that a Perfect Being would be vulgar, ignorant, crude, hateful, jealous, spiteful, vengeful, etc. Then again there are thousands of such Ultimate Beings believed in by billions of people through the centuries. Even without any rational support for believing in such nonsense (and there is ABSOLUTELY no rational support)...it still reflects an arrogance bordering on megalomania to insist that such superstitious tripe is Holy or Worthy in any way. You are like someone in one of those modern interactive stories where you invent stuff as you go according to your fantasy. Ought we to stone to death old men who gather sticks on the "sabbath" to keep warm?? What world are you from??? Is leprosy caused by "demons"?? What world are you from??? In short, you think superstitious beliefs are equal or superior to rational beliefs. Good luck and Unicorn Bless you, me lad.
