What you are missing, is that I warned, over and over, Obama's slowness to act would give the right wing political fodder, which it did. The right wing has a legitimate subject now and that really hurts the democrats. Many of Obama's approachs have hurt the rank and file dems in their reelection this spring e.g he should have concentrated on jobs before health care. And he should have given as much relief to main street as Wall street e.g. helping the middle classs mortgage problems.
