Private health insurance firms are not going out of business -- the big players like Aetna and Humana continue to add new members every week...their profits are up and their stock prices are up.

Our country spends about twice as much as a % of GDP on health care as they do in Canada...and in the United States we get worse outcomes and fail to provide all of our citizens with access to affordable health care.

The lobbyists for the for profit private health insurance firms are ultra powerful and the large Drug Companies have tremendous influence in Washington too.
