Does the government have the obligation to get involve with a manmade disaster which is what the oil spill is? Acts of nature like hurricanes and earthquakes and tornados...yes but a manmade disaster like Love Canal?? just throwing out for discussion Yes. There is environmental damage happening to the Gulf states and the Gulf of Mexico. As a consequence, jobs are getting lost and the well being of the country is affected.
