Takes a few years to recover, but in=place nuclear generating is much better.

Again, don't be an idiot. The automobile was not cost effective when it first started out either, but with time and investment and improved manufacturing, it became more cost effective and useful.

So this anti-technology bent from folks like you and the GOP is not going to help solve our problems. This country is great BECAUSE we solve problems with technology. Already, the cost of EVs and battery tech is coming down, as better battery compositions are invented. With economies of scale that will come down further. Within 20 years, if the industry is properly incubated, you could see cost parity. Within 30 years, you could see cost superiority.

I bet you didn't know that to drive an EV costs 1-2 cents per mile compared to the 10-12 cents per mile for an average ICE car?
