What to talk about in RRE, John? The crash happened, and RRE is still flat on it's back on the floor. I'd pronounce it dead, figure this was the low point to buy, but I can't sell the house I'm in now!

2007 seems like a lifetime ago. Unfortunately, the government became the market - including the real estate market - to the extent it wasn't propr to that. And politics likewise has permeated market-related sites like this.

Ironically, I've been on Amelia Island this week. Somewhat shocked at the price of RE here, compared to a few years ago. But way back in 2002, you could get a decent beachfront home for under 400k. The market hasn't retreated that far yet. Maybe soon.

Yeah, John. That's 50% my fault. I just can't stand all the blaming of Obama for the BP oil mess, when it is so clear the GOP is in bed with Big Oil. But I'll make you this promise. I'll no longer reply to anything on this thread that is not about finances or the economy.

I left the Politics of Energy thread, because all they talked about was how all of our energy problems were Obama's fault, just like they do on this thread. It got frustrating and boring to listen to the morons talk.

So I'll end my part of that debate on this thread now.
