Its a waste of money we don't have.

Funny how liberals consider everything a resource to be saved except tax payers money - those trains are already heavily subsidized.

There is a role for government and that's to approve permits to construct tracks - but to pay for the ongoing operation at a loss is not governments role - although they are really good at operating at a loss.

You know what Brumar there is very little the current crop of Rs gets right. And most of the world sees fast trains as important part of any country's transportation system. I think I will fall on the side of the rest of the world. Sorry.
