"AAPL unveils a G 350 server in England with a 100MZ system bus "

Looks to me that these servers are basically 9600/350MHz machines based on PPC604e Mach 5. They've been modified to tailor them for server tasks but they are still essentially the 9600s that were introduced back in Aug and discontinued recently due to shortage of 350MHz 604e chips.

Even though the article says that the server has a 100MHz bus, I'm quite sure that it meant to say that there is a 100MHz bus between the 1 MB inline L2 cache and the processor. The system bus should still be running only at 50 MHz on the Tsunami motherboard.

The 9600 or 9650 is clearly Apple's top of the line right now. So any Server/NC client strategy, if announced on Mon, would likely mean that the 9650 will be the server. (at least until PowerExpress line is release early next year)

When people have such high hope on a company, the stock may drop.

It looks like the article is misworded. From what I can tell, it has a 50mhz bus and a 100mhz L2 cache.
