Israel has done a masterful job of equating Israel with Jews. For many Americans, Israel IS "the Jews". To be critical of Israel is to be anti-semitic, no better than a Nazi. I find it creepy and manipulative. I see Israel as a loose cannon vis a vis Iran these days. As much of a nuclear threat as Pakistan, and probably more likely to drag the US into a war.

And I also find it really creepy that everyone here has to LOVE Israel. Which is all the most surprising after the way Israel blitzkrieged Lebanon. Its the equivalent of a parent [Israel] beating the crap out of their child [Lebanon] and putting the child in the hospital because the child mouthed off to the parent. Its disgusting. Israel needs to make that right.
