I-9 - it would appear that now SS is "optional"....here's the current regs for this required form that is to be on file for EVERY employee.....

portal.hrthatworks.com

I-9 form is to be completed at time of hire. Both employer and employee are required to fill out form.

Including:Employee fills out Section 1…

Be certain that the following fields are completed in Section 1:
Name and address
Date of Birth
Maiden Name (if applicable, and especially if new hire is presenting documents with that name)
Social Security number (optional, unless the employer participates in E-Verify)
Citizenship/immigration status box, including alien or admission number and/or expiration date, if applicable
Employee's signature and date

Employer fills out Section 2

If the documents reasonably appear to be genuine, you should record the document number and expiration date (if any). If you have any doubts about the validity of any document presented by a new hire, please contact legal counsel or internal resources. Do not contact DHS or ICE. must be the political contributions. similar to not beefing up border security to stop illegals.. adm wants the votes and also does not want to stop political contributions from these industries that hire illegals because no one will take these jobs. throw out the folks on the take for these bucks and get a new group of independents in there.
