There are people here with different approaches reflecting different timeframes, risk tolerances and trading sophistication. I tend to buy and hold positions over long periods of time in companies that I try to understand well. It's worked out well in some situations, not so much in others. That said I understand short-term trading and have done some on and off but have not found a way yet to consistently maintain a trading portfolio.
