How many cops do you know stop a truck driver and ask for his birth cert?

Ted, this is the last time I'm going over this with you. You don't know the whole story. You've heard one side and you've made up your mind. There's no room in there for any other possibility. There's no sense arguing with a closed mind.

And how is your mind open? You assumed that the person doing the arresting was an agent with INS. Other than the SOP line, it doesn't say that anywhere in the article or in the clip.

But lets say I was wrong.....that it was an INS agent who stopped the truck driver. Having lived in CA, that would be highly unusual. INS agents rarely waste a lot of time picking up illegals by the ones and twos......not in states where there are a lot of illegals like CA and AZ. That kind of monitoring would be too time consuming and cost ineffective. If the agent suspected the guy was illegal, he would have gone after the trucking company and arrested illegal drivers en masse.

Secondly, its unusual for an illegal to be driving truck......probably because you have to drive through several states on a road trip. Illegals tend to be concentrated in four industries........construction, food harvesting, clothing manu. and meatpacking plants.

Thirdly, this guy had a driver's license, SS car and insurance. All of that stuff could have been checked out without taking him to Immigration.

It doesn't make sense this guy got stopped by INS. That's why I figured the officer in the video clip was a police officer.

Again, you're in AZ.......maybe you can get more info on the subject.
