Good article.
Just one thing tho': your phrase "upcoming 64-bit upgrade cycle" is confusing. Are you referring to the AWE64 ? That is 64 voice and not 64 bit. I think it is only an AWE-32 with a software overlay plus some additional chip functions to speed things up. (and memory I guess)

In any case, all checks with Sim suggest that he ain't keen on moving into 64 bit yet. Doesn't make sense from the price/performance axis for now.
